Pinecrest Residence
Overview
Complete gut renovation of a 3,500 sq. ft. family home — stripped to the block walls, with a new roof structure, full kitchen and bar area, expanded primary suite, four ensuite bedrooms, new laundry room, and a completely redesigned pool and outdoor living space.
Focus
Rebuild a dated, compartmentalized home from the inside out — open plan, indoor-outdoor flow, and a private primary suite, with every bedroom having its own bathroom.
Result
A fully rebuilt family home with connected living spaces, resort-style outdoor living, and custom millwork throughout — designed to support long-term family life with comfort and ease.
Before the Renovation
The Pinecrest home had a good footprint and a generous lot. But the interior had reached the end of its useful life. The kitchen, dining, and family rooms were all separate. The primary suite was too small. The secondary bedrooms shared bathrooms. The pool area had been there so long it had stopped being noticed. The renovation didn't start with finishes. It started with the structure — stripping the home back to its block walls and rebuilding from the inside out.
Living Areas
Three separate rooms — kitchen, dining, and family — were opened into one connected living environment, anchored by a waterfall-edge island in both the kitchen and a new dedicated bar area. The area was opened to the patio and pool by oversized sliding glass doors. A formal living room with raised tongue and groove cedar ceiling sits just adjacent and is open to the pool and patio as well.
Primary Suite|Secondary Spaces
The primary suite was expanded and rebuilt as a private retreat — walk-in shower, freestanding tub, Hansgrohe fixtures, privacy glass, and a custom walk-in closet with built-in millwork. Large sliding doors open directly to the pool and patio. All three bedrooms were fully renovated, with an additional bathroom added so every bedroom has its own ensuite. Each closet was fitted with custom millwork and an integrated built-in desk — so every room works as a bedroom, a home office, or both, depending on what the family needs. A new laundry and guest suite that opens to the pool sits discreetly behind the family room and bar.
Indoor|Outdoor
The living areas and primary suite open directly to a completely redesigned outdoor space — a rebuilt pool with sun shelf, social bench, and lap lane; a covered patio with Thermowood Ayous ceiling; and a full outdoor kitchen — unified by ShellStone pavers across the pool deck and entry.
