Coral Gables Residence
Overview
Full interior renovation of a 3,200 sq. ft. Coral Gables home — kitchen, living areas, primary suite, and bathrooms — plus outdoor terrace and pool upgrades, and conversion of a two-car garage into a guest suite and home office.
Focus
Modernize the home, improve flow between living areas, strengthen the indoor-outdoor connection, and add flexible living space that functions as a home office by day and a guest suite when needed.
Result
A bright, comfortable home designed for everyday living and entertaining — with a new ensuite guest suite that earns its place in the family's daily life.
Before the Renovation
The Coral Gables home had a good location and a generous footprint — but fragmented living spaces that limited daily flow, and a two-car garage that contributed little to how the family lived. The renovation reorganized the main floor into a connected living environment, strengthened the relationship between inside and out, and turned underused garage space into a room the family actually uses.
Living Areas
The kitchen anchors the main floor with custom flat-panel cabinetry, an oversized quartz island with waterfall edges, and globe pendants overhead — open to the dining area and family room in a continuous, social environment. Continuous wood flooring, open sightlines, and large windows unify the living and family areas and connect them naturally to the kitchen. The layout supports everyday life and entertaining without any room feeling isolated from the rest.
Primary Suite|Secondary Spaces
A calm, private bedroom with neutral finishes and a bathroom designed for daily comfort — freestanding soaking tub, walk-in glass shower, custom wood vanity with stone countertop, and brass fixtures throughout. Two secondary bedrooms share a jack-and-jill bathroom.
Garage Conversion|Indoor Outdoor
An underused two-car garage was converted into a full ensuite guest suite and home office — finished with the same material palette as the main house, so it feels like it was always part of the home. The guest suite is connected to the family room which leads to a covered terrace with large-format porcelain tile and a compact plunge pool. Sliding glass doors connect directly to the interior — designed as an extension of the home, not a separated outdoor area.
