Coral Gables Kitchen
Overview
Renovation of kitchen and butler's pantry in a Coral Gables home centered on its private courtyard.
Focus
Open a closed-off kitchen to light and landscape and make it the anchor of the home — a space that feels warm, personal, and genuinely connected to the garden just outside.
Result
A light-filled kitchen organized around the home's courtyard — exposed tongue-and-groove beams overhead, a window backsplash that frames the garden, and a quartz island that makes the room the center of daily life.
Before the Renovation
The 1970s-era kitchen was dated and lacked the warmth to be the heart of the house. For a home meant to be organized around its kitchen and courtyard, the most important room had the least connection to it. The renovation's first move was to change that.
Kitchen & Butler's Pantry
Custom slim-shaker cabinetry, a quartz island, exposed wood ceiling beams with tongue-and-groove finish, and a window backsplash that frames garden views — the kitchen is now the center of the home's daily life. A butler's pantry sits directly behind, handling prep and storage without cluttering the main space.
